I'm not high maintenance, but when i need a good, high fat meal as a reward for my usual diet, i choose pizza.

A few weeks ago?  Out of sheer desperation (because Rosies opens 4:30), i chose Pizza Hut.  And after having a Rosie's Pizza i will never make that gawd-awful mistake again.  Thank you Rosie's Pizza for a wonderful (1 or 2 slice) delicacy that i'll look forward to once a week.

Now, here's the funny part about Rosie's Pizzeria - the staff.  Now, i know some folks have posted that they are rude.. but just think about it.  Give the guys a break.. i mean seriously - it's hot in there.  But when i walked out, i sat in my car chuckling.  Man, I know people say we should be "happy to have a job", but the look on homeboy's face when you walk in the door is priceless.

Here's the dialogue and the "real" dialogue:

Dialogue: "Yeah?" (Not, hi may i help you.)
What they're really thinking: Da F***k you want??

Dialogue: "I just came in to pick up my pizza".
What they're really thinking: "Well, it's sitting over there on the damn counter, go limp your lame a** over there and "pick it up!"

Dialogue: "Your credit card was declined."
What they're really saying:  "I knew it.. mofo walked in here looking all broke."

"Dialogue: "Okay, you have another one, let's try that one out."
What they're really thinking: "Yeah, let's try out the one that hasn't been maxed out yet."

    Dialogue: "Yeah, sign right here."
What they're really thinking:  "yeah, sign it and hurry up, and don't let the door hit where the good Lord split you on the way out."

Dialogue after you've said "have a good day"
What they're thinking: "My shift is just now starting and they tell me to have a good day."

I feel the same way sometimes, i we all know midwesterners "keep it real".. I like it, and and i like the pizza.  Give those guys some love when you go there.  It's not an easy job putting really good pizza customer after customer.  They'll have no complaints from me.  And give the big guy at the cash register a hug.  He's a cutie..:)

I want to give Rosie's a better star rating but they're so inconsistent! Last time my husband and I ordered the pizza was so amazing I could have lived off of it for the rest of my life. Today our pizza was burnt, flavorless (I POURED ranch all over my 1 slice I ate and my husband smothered his in hot sauce), and the crust was so thin I'm not even sure I would consider it a crust.

Sometimes the pizza is amazing. And Rosie's is such a South Sioux staple and I know people who come 'home' and all they want is a Rosie's pizza. It seems like on weekends, when teenagers are working and the part time people, that the pizza just isn't that good. Order it on a Wednesday night when the owner is cooking...perfection. It always smells wonderful. I live just down the street (literally) and smell it all the time and my mouth just waters.

Teeny, tiny place inside. Do carry out. They don't open until 4 most days. It's hilarious seeing people try to open the front during the week. It's been like that FOREVER. I can't believe people still try to get in.

Can be a little pricy. The large 1 topping is like $13; that's not too bad. Their bread is ok. And I think that's all they really have. Wonder if they'd ever try wings. I'd go nuts if I had a wings place so close to my home.

They won't deliver in Iowa, just Nebraska.  Must be more taxes.

Raised on Rosie's, we like to eat in for the best experience.  The Fireball recipe fits the bill every time.

Absolutely the best homemade pizza! Friendly and quick. From Sibley Iowa and I make sure to get Rosie's at any opportunity.
